Airport is the fifth mission in Rebel Cops.

Mission Description

Viktor Zuev's people are holding KIDNAPPED OFFICER at the airport. They're planning to send him to Colombia along with another batch of weapons. In Colombia, KIDNAPPED OFFICER is looking at certain death: he once killed a Colombian revolutionary in the line of duty, while they were trying to rob the Ripton Bank. Now his friends back home want to get even. At the airport, you may not only save KIDNAPPED OFFICER, but also do further damage the Zuev's criminal organization. After all, the Colombians are unlikely to work with someone who breaks delivery times and threatens their revolution.

Debriefing

“The plane with the next batch of weapons, and a hostage on board, is scheduled to fly out to Colombia today. If you want to save the KIDNAPPED OFFICER, then the first order of business is to prevent the plane from taking off. If you disable it in time, you'll save your cop from falling into the hands of the vengeful revolutionaries. It's unlikely that KIDNAPPED OFFICER will be kept on board the whole time. Most likely, he'll be held in one of the airport hangars.

There's not much time left before take-off. The plane is already fueled, and sitting on the runway under heavy guard. Zuev's people occupied the airport over the summer, and managed to settle in there. There must be something valuable hidden in or around the command and control center.”

“Viktor Zuev's people have taken over the airport, and now use all the good aircraft for smuggling. I urgently need to get to Gerinsberg to convince my main client to renew our contract. If I lose him, I'll go bankrupt. But I don't want to negotiate with the Zuev's thugs.. There's a rusty old plane in the hangar near the control room, which no one has used for a long time. It's perfectly safe for flying, you only need to fix one little thing in the engine. I'll give you the tools – you just have to get into the hangar and fix the plane. Do not worry about the rest. I have a pilot's license.”
